Process Re-Engineering & Statistical Analysis toolkit
EZ-BPR-Analyzer is an application that enables Process Managers and Consultants to perform quantitative analysis on defined process diagrams. It is a natural extension to the process definition and publication, and is meant to validate the operational efficiency of the process activities in actual day-to-day operations. In addition of statistical analysis of process cycle time (duration) and organizational resources consumption, EZ-BPR also enable Simulation and Activity Based Costing capabilities.
Functions & Features
EZ-BPR-Analyzer integration with EZ-Modeler and EZ-Publisher modules
- Ability to perform concurrently Process definition and BPR quantitative analysis on a stand-alone manner (PC, Laptop) made possible by the combined EZ-Modeler/EZ-BPR product.
- Ability to perform BPR quantitative analysis when using the EZ-Publisher product.
EZ-BPR-Analyzer Process Statistics module
- Maintain Active duration and Idle duration info for each process activity
- Maintain In Transit duration info for each "inter-activity" states
- Provide nominal statistical information for all processes including number of activities, total cycle time, active vs. idle vs. In Transit ratios ( for value-added evaluations), ...
- Multiple time units (minutes, hours, days, ...)
- Enable "organizational resources" to be defined and applied to process activities in order to calculate & track resources consumption of the process flow (Ex. human resources, infrastructure resources, financial resources, IT resources, ...)
- Multi-levels calculation enables the automatic aggregation of lower level durations and resources to the top processes, enabling the statistics of a top process to include the multi-level flows.
- The "Transaction Overlap Factor" enables calculation for sequential and concurrent tasks
- User-defined BPR type and reference for each process activity
- Viewing of graphical process display with BPR quantitative info is possible
EZ-BPR-Analyzer Simulation module
- Ability to perform "Workload" calculation by applying to the process the volume of business transactions that need to be executed by them
- Ability to perform What-if analysis with different transaction volumes, or workload (Ex. provide total duration and resources consumed if our department process on average 500 purchase orders per day)
- The "Relative Occurrence Factor" enables a more precise calculation by estimating how often a transaction will have to go through each activity of the process, and therefore consume organizational resources
EZ-BPR-Analyzer Activity Based Costing module
- Nominal, cumulative (multi-levels) and simulated costs are calculated for each user-defined resources
- In Transit duration (wait time between the end of execution of activity 1 and the beginning of activity 2) can generate an organizational/infrastructure cost if desired
